Tina Turner was one of the greatest musical artists the world has ever seen. From humble beginnings in Nutbush, Tennessee, to her triumphant transformation against all odds into the global Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Tina Turner didn’t just break the rules, she rewrote them!

Set to the pulse-pounding soundtrack of her much-loved hits, TINA – THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL at the Aldwych Theatre is an exhilarating celebration of the artist we know and love. Now celebrating five years in the West End and presented in association with Tina Turner herself, this smash hit musical is written by Olivier Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Katori Hall and directed by the internationally acclaimed Phyllida Lloyd.

During her incredible life, Tina Turner won 12 Grammy Awards and her live shows were seen by millions, selling more concert tickets than any other solo performer in music history.

What is Tina about?

This wonderfully powerful new musical reveals the incredible life story of a woman who fought to be who she was born to be defying her age, gender and race. Tina Turner is one of the World’s best-selling artists in history. Her live shows have been seen by millions and she can boast to have sold more concert tickets than any other solo performer…. ever!

She first made headlines in the ‘60’s alongside her then husband Ike Turner and became a star performing timeless hits like River Deep-Mountain High, Proud Mary and A Fool in Love. Her marriage to Ike was unpredictable and when it ended, Tina found space to re-build her life and after her huge solo comeback in the ‘80’s, she was firmly the superstar we know and love today.
