Mahatma Gandhi’s campaign for Indian independence inspired countless political movements. Discover more about Nathuram Godse, the man who murdered Mahatma Gandhi in The Father and the Assassin

Rather than focusing on Gandhi’s courageous actions, The Father and the Assassin play centres on Nathuram Godse’s upbringing and adult life. At first, it may seem surprising that Godse would commit murder — he religiously followed Gandhi’s way of thinking.

The Father and the Assassin ran at the Oliver Theatre, starting in May 2022 with performances running until June 18 2022.
