RENT is set in New York’s East Village and centers its story around a group of bohemians who live under the threat of losing their apartment. Among this small group is Mark and Roger, who struggle through the thriving days of Bohemian Alphabet City, all under the shadow of the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
It was originally produced in New York by New York Theatre Workshop and on Broadway by Jeffrey Seller, Kevin McCollum, Allan S. Gordon and New York Theatre Workshop.
