A brand new stage adaptation of the award-winning film LA LA LAND, is making it’s way to Broadway and could come to London’s West End in the future. Bartlett Sher (To Kill a Mockingbird, The King and I) will be bringing the musical adaptation to life.
The much-loved film, written and directed by Damien Chazelle, focuses on a skilled jazz musician, played by Ryan Gosling and an aspiring actress portrayed by Emma Stone. The narrative follows the lead characters as they struggle to achieve their dreams in Hollywood.
LA LA LAND is the winner of six Academy Awards including Best Original Score and Best Original Song. The film’s awarding winning score by Justin Hurwitz is accompanied by lyrics written by the duo behind Dear Evan Hansen, Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.
