After a five-star, sellout run at VAULT Festival 2023, new musical IN CLAY IN CONCERT comes to The Other Palace for one night only.
Combining jazz manouche with contemporary musical theatre, IN CLAY is a one-woman musical “bursting with numbers that feel destined to become classics” (All That Dazzles).
The trio of Danielle Steers (The Cher Show, SIX, Bat Out of Hell), Alex Young (Standing at the Sky’s Edge, Anyone Can Whistle, Follies) and Roshani Abbey (Hamilton, & Juliet, Rumi: The Musical) will share the role of Marie-Berthe Cazin in this unique concert performance.

In Clay is told from a quaint Parisian kitchen in the late 1930s. Marie-Berthe Cazin, a ceramist in her early 40s, eagerly awaits the arrival of her closest childhood friend and now celebrated artist, Henrietta Tirman. As Marie prepares for the evening ahead, she reflects on the great joys and sorrows of a life devoted to making art.
