AWAKE AND SING! is an iconic, award-winning drama play written by American playwright Clifford Odets.

It premiered on Broadway at the Belasco Theatre in February 1935 and following multiple successful American productions, was staged in London, Off West End at the Almeida Theatre in 2007. In 2006, it won two Tony Awards – Best Revival of a Play and Best Costume Design of a play.

Set in 1933, AWAKE AND SING! follows the poverty-stricken Berger family, who are all living under one roof in a tiny apartment in The Bronx, New York City. The Berger family are influenced by a combination of communist and capitalist ideals and dream of a better life.
