Ahead of its official opening tonight 21 March, THE BOOK OF MORMON has extended its run at London's Prince of Wales Theatre until 11 January 2014.

The brainchild of South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone and Robert Lopez (Avenue Q), THE BOOK OF MORMON is about two idealistic young Mormon missionaries – played by Gavin Creel and Jared Gertner – who are sent to a small town in Uganda to spread the word of the Latter Day Saints. Suffering severe culture shock, the pair wind up in a showdown with a tyrannical warlord.

The smash hit musical THE BOOK OF MORMON first opened on Broadway in March 2011, going on to win 9 Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Its soundtrack reached number 3 on the US Billboard chart, becoming the biggest selling cast album for 40 years, and winning the Grammy for Best Musical Theatre Album.
