Dick Whittington’s adventure begins when he journeys to London town to find fame and fortune, with his trusty pussycat in tow. But with rats running riot, the big city doesn’t quite match up to his dreams… Can our young hero save Islington from the Rat King’s clutches, and restore London to its former glory? And will he find love along the way?
RuPaul’s Drag Race UK favourites River Medway and Victoria Scone will star in both productions, with Victoria returning to the theatre as ‘Dragpus’, following her appearance as ‘Dame Trott’ in last year’s Jack and the Beanstalk, and River making her King’s Head Theatre debut as ‘Queen Rat’.
Our Adults Only panto is making a triumphant return for its third year – and what story could be better for a naughty panto adventure than that of Dick and his pussycat? Each of our Adult shows will also feature a special guest star, picked from icons of the worlds of musical theatre and drag! Dick Whittington is a classic and much-loved British Christmas pantomime (panto) based on English folklore and the real-life historical figure Richard Whittington, a wealthy 14th-century merchant and Lord Mayor of London.
