The Lives of Others

THE LIVES OF OTHERS is premiering in the West End at the Adelphi Theatre, starring Keira Knightley, Stephen Dilane and Luke Thompson.

Set in East Germany in 1984, the narrative centers on a writer and an actor placed under constant state surveillance, while a Stasi officer secretly monitors their lives from an attic above their apartment. Released in 2006, the film earned widespread acclaim, winning numerous honours including the Academy Award for Best International Film, the BAFTA for Best Film Not in the English Language, and the César Award for Best Foreign Film.

The production marks a renewed collaboration between Robert Icke and Sonia Friedman following previous work including OedipusManhuntHamletThe DoctorOresteia and 1984.
