A new revival of SWEENEY TODD: THE DEMON BARBER OF FLEET will be playing at Birmingham Rep, and fans are hopeful for a West End transfer!

This multi-award-winning musical by Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler follows a barber hell-bent on revenge – with Ramin Karimloo (The Phantom of the Opera, Les Misérables) confirmed to play the titular character of Sweeney Todd.

SWEENEY TODD will be directed by the Birmingham Rep’s artistic director Joe Murphy and feature design by Elin Steele.

The revival will play across the summer from 4 July to 9 August 2026. Further casting and creative team are to be confirmed.
