What is The Pillowman about?
THE PILLOWMAN is set in an oppressive totalitarian state where an author, Katuriain, is being questioned about a series of child murders in the area. The manner of the crimes bears a remarkable similarity to the author’s short stories. Is this life imitating art, or something more sinister?
Aaron Taylor Johnson will star at Katurian and is best known for his starring role in the Kick-Ass movies and as Quicksilver in Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Steve Pemberton is playing Tupolski and is best known for The League of Gentlemen which he created and starred in alongside Reece Shearsmith, Mark Gatiss and Jeremy Dyson. He also co-wrote and starred in Phychoville and Inside No. 9.
Martin McDonagh is a playwright, screenwriter, producer and director. He is well know for plays such as Hangmen, A Very Very Very Dark Matter and The Cripple of Inishmaan and films such as In Bruges and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.
