New behind-the-scenes photos have been released of The Oresteia, written and directed by Simon Stone. The production is currently running at the Bridge Theatre until Saturday 19 September 2026. Based on the classic play by Aeschylus and adapted by Simon Stone, the play follows a contemporary family who wake up trapped inside a Greek myth, unable to find a way out of their hellish destiny, as Simon Stone reworks the ancient trilogy for a modern setting.
Featuring an all-star cast, The Oresteia is led by two-time Tony Award winner Mary-Louise Parker (Proof, Weeds) as Montie, and David Morrissey (The Walking Dead) as Christopher, alongside Tom Glynn-Carney (House of the Dragon) as Augie and Olivier Award nominee Rosie Sheehy (Machinal) as Alice.
They’re joined by Lloyd Hutchinson (Dear England), John Macmillan (House of the Dragon), Archie Madekwe (Saltburn), Alyth Ross (The Woman in Cabin 10) and Rakhee Thakrar (Sex Education). The company also includes Seán Donegan, George Renshaw, Andy Umerah, Emily Waters and Kirsty Yates.
