LIMP WRIST & THE IRON FIST is a bold new play inspired by true events from writer Emmanuel Akwafo’s life, playing at Brixton House for a limited run.
Set against the culturally rich and complex backdrop of London, follow four friends, Joseph, Monday, Nathaniel and Mohammed, as they navigate love, sexuality, faith and masculinity within a society that often silences and misrepresents them. With humour, heart and raw truth, LIMP WRIST & THE IRON FIST empowers young Black Queer people to embrace the fullness of who they are—culture, race, religion, body and soul.
Drawing from deeply personal experiences, this play is both a love letter and a call to arms—an honest, unapologetic celebration of Black, Queer resilience—and will leave you reflecting on your own perceptions of identity.
