Omigod you guys! LEGALLY BLONDE is back in London this summer at the Open Air Theatre!

Based on the novel by Amanda Brown and the motion picture of the same name, LEGALLY BLONDE will open the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre 2022 season, marking the venue’s 90th anniversary. It tells the tale of a young woman, Elle Woods, who overcomes social expectations in order to become a successful Harvard Law School graduate.

First seen on Broadway in 2007 and with a West End production opening in 2010 (winning three Olivier Awards), the show has music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin, with a book by Heather Hach. The new revival is directed by Lucy Moss (co-director and co-writer of Six).

Leading the show will be Courtney Bowman (Six, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie) as Elle Woods. Also in the cast are Michael Ahomka-Lindsay (Emmett), Lauren Drew (Brooke), Vanessa Fisher (Vivienne), Isaac Hesketh (Margot), Nadine Higgin (Paulette), Alžbeta Matyšáková (Enid), Eugene McCoy (Callahan), Grace Mouat (Pilar),  Alistair Toovey (Warner), and Hannah Yun Chamberlain (Serena).

What is LEGALLY BLONDE about?

Meet fashion merchandising major Elle Woods and her college sweetheart Warner Huntington III. Popular, stylish, they have the perfect relationship. That is until Warner heads to Harvard Law School and decides that he needs a more ‘serious’ kind of girlfriend. Dumped, Elle embarks on a drastic plan to win him back. But, on the way, she discovers that there’s more to love – and definitely Elle Woods – than meets the eye.
