West End leading lady Emma Hatton (Evita, Wicked, We Will Rock You, Dreamboats and Petticoats)'s beloved cat Hendrix is 2 and a half years old. Adopted from the RSPCA after his litter was found on the street, they struggled to find homes for them as a lot of people didn't want black cats for superstitious reasons. He's named after Jimi Hendrix, can't miaow properly and is extremely naughty!

LOVEtheatre: Name three personality traits you and your cat both share.
Emma Hatton: Mischievous, affectionate and chatty.

LOVEtheatre: How and why did you become a charismatic combo?
Emma Hatton: I'd always wanted my own cat having had them in my family since I was a baby. I was playing Elphaba in Wicked at the time so it made sense to adopt a black cat! He was found with his two brothers on the street and I couldn't resist him!

LOVEtheatre: What makes Hendrix woman's best friend?
Emma Hatton: Even after the longest, worst day imaginable he is always so happy to see me and welcomes me home with the best cuddles! And he gives the best headbutts!

LOVEtheatre: Who's the under-dog in the relationship?
Emma Hatton: Me! Absolutely! I'm wrapped right round his little paws!

LOVEtheatre: What’s been the best moment you’ve shared together?
Emma Hatton:  I can't pinpoint one but anytime I'm upset, it's like he has a sixth sense and comes in for cuddles. ... he provides me with so much laughter and just warms my heart!

LOVEtheatre: Showtime - What party tricks do you have up your sleeve?
Emma Hatton: He can open the shutters in my living room window and acts as 'neighbourhood watch'. He can also smash any item that is on a shelf, mantel piece... candles, vases, pictures. You name it, he'll smash it.

    LOVEtheatre: Catnapper or Curious Creature?
Emma Hatton: The most curious... and an absolute scaredy cat!!
