An American in Paris, the award-winning Broadway musical, will transfer to London's Dominion Theatre from March 2017.

Based on the Oscar winning film starring Gene Kelly, An American in Paris follows American GI Jerry Mulligan as he strives to make it as a painter in a city suddenly bursting with hope and possibility. Following a chance encounter with a beautiful young dancer named Lise, the streets of Paris become the backdrop to a romance of art, friendship and love, featuring some of the greatest music and lyrics ever written by George and Ira Gershwin.

Original Broadway stars Robert Fairchild and Leanne Cope will also be reprising their roles for the upcoming London production.

Principal dancer with the New York City Ballet since 2009, Robert Fairchild will make his West End debut in An American in Paris. Having made his Broadway debut with the NY production, Fairchild has appeared in numerous productions for the NYC Ballet.

British ballerina Leanne Cope (Lise) graduated from the Royal Ballet in 2003, having performed for the company in such ballets as Sweet Violets, Hansel and Gretel, Nutcracker and Mayerling. Cope made her Broadway debut in An American in Paris, which will also be her West End debut.
