    Broadway smash hit Motown The Musical will transfer to London's Shaftesbury Theatre in February 2016.

    Based on Berry Gordy's autobiography, Motown The Musical first opened on Broadway in March 2013 and was nominated for four Tony Awards.

    Motown The Musical chronicles Gordy's founding and running of the legendary Motown record label, which launched the careers of Diana Ross and the Supremes, Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, Marvin Gaye and many more.

    Featuring classic songs that created the soundtrack of a generation and transformed America, including “My Girl,” “What's Going On,” “Dancing in the Street,” “I Heard It Through The Grapevine” and “Ain't No Mountain High Enough”.

    Memphis The Musical is currently booking at the Shaftesbury Theatre until October 2015, starring Beverley Knight and Killian Donnelly. Former X Factor winner Matt Cardle will take over from Donnelly, joining the cast from 6 July.

    Casting for the West End production of Motown The Musical is yet to be confirmed.
