    Arthur Darvill will star in the award-winning musical ONCE at the West End's Phoenix Theatre from 17 March 2014.

    He will reprise his leading role as “Guy”, which he previously played in ONCE on Broadway in 2013. Best known for his role as ‘Rory Williams’ on Doctor Who, Darvill’s as appeared on TV in Little Dorrit, Broadchurch and The White Queen. His London theatre credits include Our Boys (Duchess Theatre), Doctor Faustus (Shakespeare’s Globe), Swimming with Sharks (Vaudeville) and Terre Haute (Trafalgar Studios).

    In addition to it being Darvill's first performance with the London company, ONCE will also celebrate its first birthday – and St. Patrick's Day – on 17 March.

    Zrinka Cvitešic will continue in the production as “Girl”. Darvill takes over from Declan Bennett, whose final performance is 8 March before he joins the cast of EastEnders.

    Penned by Enda Walsh with music and lyrics by Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova, ONCE is directed by John Tiffany.
