    Andrew Lloyd Webber’s smash hit musical THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA will undergo major cast changes at Her Majesty's Theatre in London from Monday 2 September 2013. Fresh from his success as Jean Valjean in the West End production of Les Misérables, Gerónimo Rauch will play The Phantom.

    Rauch first played Valjean in the 25th Anniversary production of “Los Miserables” in Barcelona. He also starred as 'Feuilly' and ‘Marius’ in the production in his native Argentina, having also took part in the 25th Anniversary celebrations at The O2. In 2002 Rauch was discovered on the Buenos Aires version of the talent show Popstars and was chosen to become a founding member of the group Mambrú. His previous theatre credits include Grease (Buenos Aires), as well as Jesus Christ Superstar and Chicago in Madrid.

    Sean Palmer will join the cast as Raoul, making his return to the London stage since 2011’s Olivier Award-winning Crazy for You at the Regent's Park Open Air Theatre and its West End transfer to the Novello. Palmer’s Broadway credits include Disney's The Little Mermaid and Fosse. He also played Stanford Blatch's boyfriend Marcus in TV’s Sex and the City.

    Claire Moore returns to THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA as Carlotta, having played the alternate Christine to Sarah Brightman in the original West End cast, before assuming the role full-time after the first year. She also originated the role of Ellen in Miss Saigon. Most recently seen in the National Theatre’s critically acclaimed London Road, Moore’s numerous London theatre credits include The King and I, Les Misérables and Oliver!.

    Andy Hockley (Hello Dolly at the Open Air Theatre; The Music Man at Chichester Festival Theatre) will play Monsieur Firmin. Martin Ball will play Monsieur André. Most recently seen in the Olivier Award-winning musical Top Hat, Ball’s West End theatre credits include Les Misérables, Mamma Mia! and the original cast of Wicked.

    With theatre credits including the West End’s Les Misérables and the national tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber and David Ian's production of The Sound of Music, Jacinta Mulcahy will play Madame Giry. Having made her made her West End debut in Grease at the Piccadilly Theatre, Cat Lane will play Meg Giry - a role she previously played in the Asian and South African tours of PHANTOM. Olivia Brereton and Harriet Jones will both play 'Christine' at certain performances.

    Sofia Escobar will continue to star as Christine Daaé, with Jeremy Secomb continuing his role as Piangi.
