LW Theatres takes the wellbeing of our customers extremely seriously.
Since the start of the pandemic, we have been working closely with the Government to pioneer pilots that prove the measures introduced into theatres keep our audiences, staff and performers safe. As we reopen at full capacity, these key protocols will remain in place.
While we can’t legally enforce the wearing of face coverings, we will ask our audiences to wear a face covering throughout their visit, unless they are medically exempt. Face coverings will also be available in all our theatres.
All our auditoriums are equipped with excellent ventilation systems, which ensure the constant and even introduction of 100% fresh air and that no air is recycled. We will continue our stringent hygiene and sanitation measures across front and back of house, as well as regular deep cleaning.
We are encouraging audiences to arrive in plenty of time, and doors will be open from one hour before the show. Extra staff continue to be employed to help manage the flow and movement of customers.
Finally, we are giving careful consideration to the idea of a COVID certification system. We are awaiting more guidance from the Government on the implementation of this measure for venues such as ours, and we will work with them to ensure that the implementation of any future COVID pass works well for all our audiences, many of whom are young. The London theatre groups are collaborating to seek to establish a consistent approach for audiences across the West End.
Although there will be no COVID pass system in place in relation to your particular performance, as a reassurance measure, we request that you have a negative result using an NHS lateral flow or PCR COVID test within 24 hours of attending. We kindly ask that all guests over the age of 11 bring their negative test result with them, to show to a member of our team prior to entry. This can be on the NHS App, an NHS text or e-mail confirmation, or even a photograph of your test. We will accept negative tests up to 48 hours before arrival if within 24 hours isn’t possible. This includes fully vaccinated guests.
We are hugely looking forward to seeing auditoriums full, without which the productions in our theatres would be unviable.
