What is The Tempest about?

Prospero, exiled years previously, finally has a chance to exact his revenge on those who wronged him. He summons a storm- a tempest- to shipwreck them on the island he was left on. The inhabitants of the island reluctantly help Prospero to manipulate and terrorise the shipwrecked crew, but when his daughter’s love hangs in the balance, Prospero has to choose whether to keep holding his grudges or choose forgiveness instead.
