Based on the Off-Broadway hit production, Yank! A WWII Love Story plays at London's Charing Cross Theatre this summer, following a highly acclaimed run at the Hope Mill in Manchester.
“Some stories didn’t make it into the history books...”
In 1943, young Mid-Westerner Stu serves in the army as a reporter for Yank Magazine, the journal ‘for and by servicemen’. Following the men in Charlie Company, the musical explores what it means to be a man and fall in love… and struggle to survive in a time and place where the odds are stacked against you.
Directed by James Baker (Parade The Musical), Yank! A WWII Love Story pays homage to the timeless music of the 1940s with book and lyrics by American brothers David and Joseph Zellnik. The cast will be announced soon.
At the Charing Cross Theatre in London until 19 August 2017, book your Yank! A WWII Love Story tickets today!
