The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-time + 3 Course Dinner & Glass of Champagne at The Ritz

  • Adapted by playwright Simon Stephens from Mark Haddon's award-winning 2003 novel, the National Theatre's award-winning THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME is playing at the Apollo Theatre, booking until October 2014.

As told from the point of view of a child with behavioural difficulties, the intriguing tale begins with Christopher standing beside Mrs. Shears' dead dog, which has been speared by a garden fork. Falling under suspicion for the dreadful deed, he records every fact gathered about the case in a book he is writing, in order to solve the mystery of who murdered Wellington.

While Christopher has an extraordinary brain, he has never ventured alone beyond the end of his road, detests being touched and distrusts strangers. But his detective work, although forbidden by his father, takes him on a frightening journey that upends his entire world.

Directed by War Horse's Marianne Elliot, THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME opened at the National Theatre in August 2012 to critical acclaim. The show received praise across the board for its innovative movement by theatre company Frantic Assembly, and the striking geometric grid design of Olivier Award-winner Bunny Christie.

Now starring Mike Noble and Jack Loxton as Christopher Boone, with cast members Rakie Ayola, Trevor Fox, Amanda Drew, Gay Soper, Golda Rosheuvel, Daniel Casey, Paul Stocker, Jo Dockery and Patrick Driver.

THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME won seven 2013 Olivier Awards, including Best New Play, Best Director for Marianne Elliot, Best Actor (Luke Treadaway) and Best Supporting Actress (Nicola Walker).

    THE RITZ RESTAURANT

    The Ritz Restaurant

Since opening in 1906, The Ritz Restaurant has left an indelible impression on all who have dined there.

In what is often described as the most beautiful restaurant in Europe, vast floor to ceiling windows overlooking Green Park, rich Louis XVI-inspired decor and dazzling garlands of chandeliers reflected in grand mirrored walls set the scene for elegant extravagance.

At the helm of this cornerstone of London luxury, Executive Chef John Williams MBE, has created a menu of distinctive classical British dishes complemented by a legendary wine list and unparalleled service.

The son of a Tyneside fisherman, John developed his passion for food at an early age. That passion endures, as does his culinary philosophy: use ingredients of the highest quality, use them at their seasonal best and marry best of British ingredients with Escoffier-influenced classical recipes to achieve culinary evolution and produce distinctive, sublime creations.
