Joining the previously announced Gavin Lee in the musical TOP HAT from 5 February will be Alex Gaumond, Kristen Beth Williams and Clive Hayward.

Alex Gaumond will portray the dandy Italian fashion designer Alberto Beddini. Well-known in the world of musical theatre, Gaumond previously played Galileo in the long-running We Will Rock You. Last seen on the West End in Legally Blonde The Musical, for which he received an Olivier Award nomination, his other theatre credits include Desperately Seeking Susan, Sunday In The Park With George and The Full Monty.

Most recently Clive Hayward appeared in the political comedy Yes, Prime Minister at Trafalgar Studios. Hayward takes over the role of Horace Hardwick from Martin Ball. His other stage credits include the David Tennant-led production of Much Ado About Nothing at Wyndhams Theatre, and the National Theatre’s Earthquakes In London.

Actress Kristen Beth Williams will appear on the West End playing the enticing Dale Tremont. Williams has recently appeared on Broadway in Nice Work If You Can Get It, as well as Anything Goes and Promises, Promises.

The trio joins Gavin Lee, who takes over from Tom Chambers, who originated the role. As the famous American tap dancer Jerry Travers, Lee falls in love and chases the girl of his dreams Dale Tremont across Europe in attempt to win her heart.

Existing cast members Vivian Parry and Stephen Boswell will continue in their roles as Madge Hardwick and Bates.
