What is Carousel about?

Carnival worker Billy Bigelow and mill worker Julie Jordan have both been lonely their whole life. When they meet, this shared sadness helps them fall in love. Their romance and eventual marriage costs them their jobs. To protect their unborn child Billy participates in a robbery, but after it goes tragically wrong, he is given a mystical chance to make things right.
