Felicity Kendal will star in Noel Coward's hilarious comedy Hay Fever at London's Duke Of York's Theatre from 29 April to 1 August, directed by Lindsay Posner (Harvey, Speed-The-Plow, Other Desert Cities).

Kendal will play Judith Bliss, a once glittering star of the London stage. The Good Life star most recently appeared on the West End in Alan Ayckbourn's Relatively Speaking at Wyndham's Theatre, also directed by Posner. Kendal's theatre credits also include Coward's The Vortex and George Bernard Shaw's Mrs Warren's Profession.

Hay Fever follows the Bliss family, who are incapable of sharing the spotlight. Unconventional, risqué and often downright rude, they are everything a respectable English family shouldn’t be. When each member of the family invites a guest to their rural retreat, the unassuming visitors are thrown into a living melodrama. Misjudged meetings, secret seductions and scandalous revelations proliferate during one outrageous weekend in Berkshire.

This production first enjoyed a sell-out run at the Theatre Royal Bath before successfully touring Australia. Further casting is to be confirmed.
