Bonnie Langford & Gary Wilmot join Dirty Rotten Scoundrels cast

    Bonnie Langford and Gary Wilmot will join the cast of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels from Tuesday 16 September at the Savoy Theatre.

    Bonnie Langford will play glamorous divorcee Muriel Eubanks, replacing Samantha Bond, while Gary Wilmot will take over from John Marquez as Beaumont-Sur-Mer's Chief of Police Andre Thibault, sidekick and partner in crime to chief conman Lawrence Jameson.

    They will join original cast members Olivier, Tony and BAFTA award winner Robert Lindsay, Rufus Hound and Katherine Kingsley in this new musical comedy about two conmen competing for the riches and the heart of a young impressionable heiress.

    Gary Wilmot's theatre credits include The Pajama Game ( Shaftesbury Theatre), The Invisible Man (Menier Chocolate Factory), HMS Pinafore and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Regent’s Park  Open Air Theatre), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang ( London Palladium), One for the Road (Bristol Old Vic), Carmen Jones ( Old Vic), Copacobana (Prince of Wales Theatre) and Me And My Girl (Adelphi Theatre). On television Wilmot’s presented hit shows including the BBC’s Showstoppers, Copycats, So You Want to be Top, Punchlines, Cue Gary and Saturday Gang.

    Bonnie Langford's extensive West End roles began at the age of seven with Gone with the Wind (Theatre Royal Drury Lane), followed by Gypsy opposite Angela Lansbury (Piccadilly Theatre) which also went on a national tour, before a run on Broadway (for which she was nominated for a Drama Desk Award). She has starred in many smash hit musicals including the original cast of Cats (New London Theatre), Chicago (Adelphi Theatre/Cambridge Theatre and on Broadway/North American national tour), The Pirates Of Penzance ( Theatre Royal, Drury Lane/ London Palladium), the title role of Peter Pan - The Musical (Aldwych Theatre), Me And My Girl (Adelphi Theatre), Guys And Dolls (Donmar), Sweet Charity (Victoria Palace Theatre) and most recently Spamalot (Playhouse Theatre). Langford has appeared in the hit musical film Bugsy Malone and many TV series including Just William, The Lena and Bonnie Show, the award-winning Hot Shoe Show, Hotel Babylon, Marple, The Catherine Tate Show, The Spa and as the 22nd assistant to BBC TV’s Doctor Who.
