Chichester Festival Theatre’s production of THE PAJAMA GAME will transfer to the West End's Shaftesbury Theatre in April 2014.

While casting is yet to be announced, the Chichester production starred double Olivier Award winner Joanna Riding (Stephen Ward, Carousel, A Little Night Music opposite Judi Dench, Guys And Dolls, My Fair Lady), Hadley Fraser (Les Misérables, Assasins, Coriolanus, the 25th anniversary production of The Phantom Of The Opera at Royal Albert Hall) and Peter Polycarpou (Miss Saigon, Les Misérables, The Phantom Of The Opera, Sweeney Todd).

Directed by Richard Eyre (Stephen Ward, Ghosts), the production follows in the footsteps of other Chichester West End transfers including Singin’ In The Rain, Sweeney Todd and Kiss Me, Kate.

Based on Richard Bissell's novel 7½ Cents, Adler and Ross's 1954 musical is set is a pajama factory, where love blossoms between two of the workers. It was last seen on the London stage in 1999, directed by Simon Callow.

THE PAJAMA GAME will follow Tim Rice's musical From Here To Eternity, which opened earlier this year.
