Full Cast announced for Radcliffe's Cripple of Inishmaan

    The full cast has been announced for Martin McDonagh's THE CRIPPLE OF INISHMAAN starring Daniel Radcliffe as Cripple Billy.

    PÁDRAIC DELANEY joins the cast as Bobbybabby. Delaney is best known for his role in the Ken Loach film The Wind That Shakes the Barley, which won the 2006 Palm d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival. Delaney was nominated for two Irish Film and Television Awards (IFTA), and received the 2007 Irish Shooting Star Award from the Berlin International Film Festival. His television credits include RTÉ’s Legend, Raw and Showtime’s The Tudors. Delaney has previously appeared on stage at the Tricycle Theatre in John Patrick Shanley’s play Doubt: A Parable.

    Currently appearing in a new production of Doctor Faustus at the Citizen's Theatre, Glasgow, GARY LILBURN will play Doctor. Lilburn's previous London theatre credits include Calendar Girls (Noël Coward), The Hairy Ape, The Hostage (both Southwark Playhouse), The Man Who Had All The Luck (Donmar Warehouse), The Quare Fellow (Tricycle), Living Quarters (Lyceum Theatre), The Golden Ass, Midsummer Night's Dream (both Shakespeare's Globe), and The Weir (Royal Court). He’s also worked in both television and film in Mrs Brown's Boys, Eastenders, Fair City (RTÉ), Garage, Veronica Guerin and Whistleblower.

    The role of Johnnypateenmike will be played by PAT SHORTT. He is best known for his work in the TV series Father Ted, Killinaskully and Mattie. For his role in the 2007 film Garage, Shortt won the 2008 IFTA for Best Actor.

    Having made his London stage debut at the Donmar Warehouse in 2012, CONOR MACNEILL will play Bartley McCormick. MacNeill's film credits include Fifty Dead Men Walking, Peacefire, Cherrybomb, Five Minutes of Heaven and Whole Lotta Sole. A regular on the Irish stage having appeared in productions at the Lyric Players' Theatre, Gate Theatre and Project Arts Centre, Macneill has also been seen on TV in An Crisis and Saving The Titantic.

    The cast is completed by INGRID CRAIGIE (as Kate Osbourne), SARAH GREENE (as Helen McCormick), GILLIAN HANNA (as Eileen Osbourne) and JUNE WATSON (as Mammy).

    Set on a remote island off the west coast of Ireland, Cripple Billy is desperate to star in a Hollywood film that's being filmed nearby, if only to escape from the tedium of his daily life. The third production in the Michael Grandage Season, previews for THE CRIPPLE OF INISHMAAN begin 8 June at the Noël Coward Theatre, with opening night 18 June, running until 31 August.
